Its a...

BOY!

Here is a shot of baby boy's face. His arm is up by his face, kind of by his eye. We can actually start calling the baby "He" now without worrying if we are offending it. We still haven't come up with any boy names that we absolutely love, so if anyone has any ideas pass them this way. Anyway, we just thought we'd update everyone and post the pics for all to see.

One Month to the Day...

...since we last updated. Everything is going pretty well. My new job is, well, a job. Brian just finished off the semester, and they've gotten busy deep cleaning his building while everyone is out for the short break. We find out if we're having a girl or a boy on the 3oth of this month (April), and we're stoked. I thought I couldn't wait for the last ultrasound, but this is tons worse. The sickness is mostly gone. I do have days, though. But lately the biggest problem has been heartburn, but we think we finally have that one taken care of, too.

Brian's sister, Katie, just found out that she is pregnant, too. We are very excited for them since they were having some difficulty in that area as well. They have to wait until their first ultrasound next week to figure out the exact due date, but they anticipate sometime around December or January.

We're right on track with the pregnancy. I felt the baby move for the first time on Saturday (2 days ago). I was sitting cross-legged on the lawn at Brian's brother's apartment complex while Brian helped him work on his car. I thought my cell phone was vibrating in my pocket under where my belly was resting, so I pulled it out...but the belly kept buzzing. It took me a few seconds to figure out just what was going on. That night I felt it again in a different spot. Last night I started feeling it pushing in one spot rather than just brushing against something. Today at work I was just sitting there and about every 4 or 5 seconds for about 2 minutes I could feel something pushing in the same spot. I don't know if its a hand or a foot or a head or what, but its stretching or something. It feels so weird, like a tiny pressure, plus a little bit of a stretch, combined with that feeling that you get in your stomach when you go over a quick bump in the car. Only it isn't in the stomach, and its in a very isolated area. Its a pretty cool feeling, but its going to take some getting used to.
