The Belly and Other News

Here is a picture of me and my ever-growing belly. It was taken about a month or so ago with the intent of posting it right away. Of course, it took me a little longer than "right away" to get it up. So this is me at 5 months along. I really am carrying him low. I just look big all around because I have a relatively small torso and my organs needed a place to go and up was there only option.

Brian and I spent the holiday weekend in Boise with the Fletcher clan. It was a lot of fun just hanging out, working in the yard, and running errands with them. We discovered while we were there, though, that Brian's 15-year-old "puppy" (that he's had since he was 13 or 14) is now mostly bind, and may even have a tumor. We've been trying to scrape up the funds to pay to haver put down, but Brian is really having a hard time with the idea of letting her go. Oh, and yes, this is the dog named Jenny. In fact, when we first got married and Brian's mom or dad would yell at the dog to be quiet, they would have to clarify that they meant the dog and not me. I once suggested to Brian that we change her name to something similar (like Penny) to lessen the confusion, and instead he insisted that he had known the dog longer so I should just go by Jennifer. Those of you who know Brian well enough that it was in jest, but the name of the dog stayed the same. I guess I should be flattered that he liked my name enough long before we got married to give it to his puppy.

Sunday after church we took a trip out to Cloverdale cemetery to put flowers on my sister's grave. It had been at least 2 or 3 years since I had been out there, for which I felt really bad. When we got there some of the grass had grown over the cement border and the plaque of the headstone was caked with dirt. We happened to have some water in the car and an old work shirt of Brian's to use to clean the plaque off with, and Brian used the hook of a bungee cord to cut away the overgrown grass. The result wasn't perfect, but it definitely looked better.

We also went and visited Brian's grandparent's graves that afternoon, and then Brian went to visit his other grandparents in Emmet while I went to visit Sarah, who just couldn't wait until a baby shower to give us the cutest little pair of John Deere cowboy boots. I need to get a picture of them posted. They're SO tiny! All in all we had a really nice, relaxing, non-demanding weekend. The only downer was the extra time the trip took because we had to keep stopping so my legs wouldn't tingle. But I guess we should get used to that because even after I'm no longer pregnant it will still take as long if not longer due to diaper changes, feedings, and (if he takes after Brian) motion sickness.

Silly Pyzam

Okay, so pyzam has some really nice backgrounds and all, but they really need to work on getting their scripting down so it doesn't delete all of my fun count downy things, music, google ads, and links. So, if your link is missing let me know and remind me of the URL and I'll add it. As it is, I had to go searching the web for what I was able to recover. Thank goodness for friends who have catchy and/or easy to remember URLs. So, if you no longer appear on my list o' links, it isn't personal.
