For the Grandparents

Happy Birthday Sam

Sam's first birthday was a week ago yesterday (Monday), and we had a party for him the Saturday before. Just a few days before the party Sam decided that he wanted to start walking, and he's really taken off since. Before we got started with the party, Sam had fun playing Ring-Around-The-Rosies with his cousins. Sam didn't know what to do with the candles in his cupcake, but he sure liked the chocolate cake and frosting. After cake and presents we went and played at the splash park. Sam had to warm up to the idea of touching the spraying water, but eventually he decided it was okay...and once mom and dad weren't trying to get him touch it he really decided to like it and crawled over to it all by himself.

Bear World

My sister Tiff and her husband Dave just recently moved to Saudi Arabia. Before they left they visited everyone in both of their families, including us. We were so excited to have them come visit. While they were here we went to Bear World and we got to feed the bears. Here are some highlights from that trip:



Sam's favorite part of the whole trip was the goat in the petting zoo. Sam had just had lunch and still had cracker crumbs all over him, and so the got really liked Sam, too. It was so nice to have Sam's Aunt Tiffy and Uncle Dave come and stay. Sam loved it when Uncle Dave read his books to him. We will miss them very much!
